This is an ugly word for allot of people however I believe it is too important to leave to some “expert” that really doesn’t care about you.
Back in 2007 I set up a finance club. The intention was for us to educate each other about the different topics around personal finance. With diverse items such as
Which bank to use?
How to eliminate debt and why it is important?
Which pension fund to use?
How to invest in the stock market?
How to save money?
How to buy property?
How to write a will?
…… and so on
It has been really useful for all of us involved. More recently the club has changed to focus on working out how to invest like warren buffet used to invest when he was just starting out. It is a small club if you are interested in value investing and live in Melbourne and fancy joining our club then contact me.
In late 2007 I setup an accompanying blog which mainly focuses on investing my DIY superannuation fund (pension / 401k) .Recently it has really become a place for me to put my thoughts on the world economic outlook and what we need to do to prepare for what is to come.http://fatcatsfinance.blogspot.com/
